Mutual Aid: Free Tutoring Services [1 HR]
What this service offers
To briefly summarize the list above, I am willing, at no cost, to help someone procure online support (text, email, pre-approved video) for one hour for ages 13–20 who need assistance.
You can consider the Mutual Aid Board an experiment or digital pathway for support without the barriers. Just remember, each of my aid offerings comes with general guidelines.
Who is this for?
Tutoring services are for ages 13–20 who are under-resourced. Including individuals who do not have access to equitable educational resources, mentors, or support systems, or who are studying independently without guidance.

What I can assist with
I am a native English speaker who recently received an undergraduate degree in a humanities field. Despite having chronic issues, being over-involved in extracurricular activities, and holding two to three jobs, I maintained a 3.2 GPA and learned from a diverse group of people.
Above ground, I routinely read academic journals, including some in computer science. To assist, I give help in social studies, English, or writing.
Though I am not fluent in additional languages, I understand some Dutch, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish. However, please communicate directly with me in English.
How to request aid
Read: There must be prior agreements before I give my assistance. Do not send homework or specific questions before receiving a response first.
For your safety, consider using a nickname or alias. In MadWorldz, we love pseudonyms. Feel free to use them. You can receive assistance for at least one hour by emailing me the following information.
Include on the subject line: Maz Mutual Aid
✿ Name or alias (what you want to be referred to as)
✿ Topic you want assistance with
✿ A brief explanation of why you identify as under-resourced
✿ Why other sources have not addressed your topic, or what specifically you are struggling with
This explanation does not need to be long. A few sentences is enough.
What happens after I contact you?
Email me and I will tell you directly whether I can help you or not. Sometimes I simply cannot help because of time or subject limits. If I cannot assist, I will still try to send links to open-source resources that may help you. I only take a limited number of requests per week or per month. Requests are handled first-come, first-served.
Tell me what your question is and what format you would prefer to communicate in. I can respond through text, email, or possibly a recorded explanation if needed. Remember, this is meant for people who need assistance and cannot access help elsewhere. While information can often be found online, some people need clearer explanations or someone to ask questions to.
